One of our two clued-up young'uns is off to pastures new etc, and we
need a new man. Handling the IT for our whole company, basically,
along with The Other Bod and The Manager.

Website, sysadmin, etc etc. I'm not too clued-up about techie stuff.

No idea of the money, but it's based in Tunbridge Wells if anyone's
    interested.

Contact me via my idnet addie, not this one.

  2. Well I never made it to the third stage of actual hirement so do you
think I'll be wasting our time if I apply for this as well? Bear in mind
I got to stage two of your last "sheep and goats" sorting system.

As JC of Top Gear would say "how hard can it be?"

Any company that won't let IT bods work mainly from home these days
    isn't worth working for.

Don't you have chimps in DCs to do the tedious stuff? I've only been to
our DCs once in the last year or so and that was only for a look about.

You forget, I work for the supplier. We get chimps to rack kit etc, but
due to not being the customer they find it appalling that I may want
remote access to their systems :) (We must sell more Secure Desktop).

If our sales ever get their act together long enough, we can build the kit
in Linlithgow, and ship to site. But sales don't get paid until the kit
hits the floor, so they want the kit there ASAP and ignore the fact it
costs more to ship bodies out to do the OS and App installation ...
Technology rocks, unfortunatly people are thick.
