Looking at your website I see that web design is your primary business. It
certainly draws me into the proposition.

Nope, I'm primarily do back end and middle tier software (C, C++,
Java, Perl, PHP even). I mostly leave the web design to people with
artistic talent and/or patience with the vagaries of browser bugs in CSS
and JavaScript support. If I have to do it myself I keep it simple and try
to make it clear.

 

I am surprised you need to ask.

 

Yep, have done all that, but it's been a while since I was a 100%
hands-on sysadmin ..

Yup, i've been there too. I was shortlisted a couple of times before
this job came up (and i'm still in the running for another couple) but
it's a buyers market, that's for sure.

I thought you were in work anyhow ? Wasn't it some public sector gig ?
