Last year? No, I was the accomplice.

To me it seems to be down to the meat. A McD in the US or Canada tastes
very different from what we get here. Over there, I almost like them.

The main difference between the meat in an american McDoos and one over
here is the yank ones have irradiated shit in them and beef-flavouring
additives, if Eric Schlosser is to believed.

There's probably some high fructose corn syrup in there too!

True, and I haven't been there for a while. I must remedy that.

    Mmmm, high-fructose corn syrup.

    Tastes like victory.

And it has a shameful lack of kebab shops

AOL, on my way back from Valencia many years ago[1]. Which I think was
the last time I had a MacD burger (as opposed to a breakfast muffin,
    which I had last year).
Wimpy & BK are my favourites.

[1] The year Biaggi binned it on the warm-up lap.

There's one in our village, I'll have you know.

It's crap, true, but that's another matter entirely. Actually, it's
not that bad, but it's based on the German model, with veal (I think)
meat, soft baps and yoghurt sauce. No chilli sauce to be had, no fresh
chillis either, so you have to move away from the traditional British
kebab idea, then it's not so bad.

It took me fucking ages to find a tub of hummus in a French supermarket
when we were over for Chimay.

Eventually turned up in the "funny foreign foods" section. Went nicely
with a pack of "pain kebab".

Why were you in a French supermarket then? Cross-border shopping trip,
was it? And anyway, it's qute normal down our way. Maybe it's just
    them Belgians.
Hummus is generally[1] quite disgusting anyway, so the shop was
clearly trying to do you a favour by hiding it.

[1] It's OK if there's just a minimal amount of sesame paste in it,
but too much and it just turns my stomach.

    Ask Eddie.

It was the single longest trip I've ever been on to a supermarket.
    Tahini rocks my world.

But don't Mac use the same shit worldwide? I can't say, coz I can't stand
    the things.

I vaguely recalled it as being a decent-sized supermarket, from when we
had to do a cross-border run a couple of years ago because of the
    Belgian national holiday.

I must have had a bang on the head.
Blame the Merc sat-nav. And Google. It was a doddle to find when I was
    on the bike.

    That looks disgusting.

I'd have to be pretty drunk to want to eat that.
