New battery in the 7R makes all the coloured lights come on and the
starter motor go 'click'... but that's it. It might start if I can get
one of the kids to dump the clutch while I push it with the car.

darsy, I think you need to commission Burke and Hare to come and get
it and turn it into something beautiful.

    Have you charged the battery?

Oh, and while you're fiddling with it: what's the mileage?

    Checked, yes I have.
It turned over briefly the first time but now just clicks.

That battery is fucked. Very. Have you tried jump leads from the car?

Are we still doing a FFAQ? There should be something in it along the lines
    of "It's a manky earth. It's /always/ a manky earth."
