Chopped the end characters off my password so there were only 16. As
I've said to someone else, I don't know how this can work because 16
characters is short of the password msn have for my account (I think)
but hey, I'm connected and I think I'm going do do a gay prance dance,
rehears.

 

In full bio hazard kit just in case he got there first? It's the only

I did but not in Pidgin, just logging in via the web or did you mean the

Oh, so you don't generally have to remember them, you just copy and
paste them from somewhere?

 

Well it works because a hash is generated from (among other things) your
password. The version of pidgin that you are using is not truncating your
password whereas other versions may (or may not).

So, to surmise, I blame Microsoft

So why do you use an auto-generator and go for >16 characters if
you're then going to write it down on a piece of paper or store it in
a file?
