Their clinical equipment is absolutely spot on!! and the 32" LCD I have in
    NI is likewise.

Don't necessarily take too much notice of me, I just hate Philips stuff.
Goes back to when I were young, their gear then was a bugger to take
apart to fix, and always seem to fail at a few years old. Then all my
friends would bring the stuff round and ask me to have a look....

Nahh only 768. Wait for 1080p prices to come down. I have 32" 100Hz CRT
and I'm not budging till 1080p come down to £350 (that'd be about six
    months then?)

  6. I will never buy anything made by Philips again - purely because of niggling
design/software faults such as: conflicting remote controls with no way to
change frequencies, noisy ticking drive system in our home cinema ("no fault
found"), big fat blue "Dolby ProLogic" banner which appears in the bottom
third of the screen and sometimes won't go away, forcing a reboot (of a DVD
player, FFS!) and it can't be turned off, no memory back up battery so it
forgets the time and all the radio stations every time it's turned off at
    the mains...

'Course, they might be wonderful now.

We shall see if he "stands and delivers"
Anyone got something big enough near Leeds/York to transport if he throws
the head up at the price and won't put it in his own truck?

That explains a lot, actually. You've certainly been more help than customer
    services.
