French firemen, starting fires in Corsica back in July is the only
thing that comes to mind to me.

Yes I realised that as soon as I posted it but recalls don't work.

Look at the time, it was uncharacteristically early for me to be awake
and R4 had me laughing so much.

You know perfectly well that any criticism of Israel is by definition
    anti semitic.

I have also given up insisting that all peope born in the area of any
    religion or ethnicity are Semites.

Was there a declaration of war? I don't believe so.

I'm not implacably opposed to your argument but the Firemen forgot to
*also* call for a boycott of the Gaza strip. A terrorist haven and also
accused of crimes in the recent conflict.

One would have to start with China however and work down IMHO, pausing
for effect around Zimbabwe. Hold on where is the call for a boycott of
    DR Congo.

I'm sure you catch my drift. The Resolution stinks like rotten fish.

You're obviously trolling, but at least *try* to keep it credible.

  18. Unless they are the US[1]. Or the Pakistanis. Or the Chinese. Or the
    Burmese. Or Thailand[2].

In fact - pretty much anyone except the Israelis.

Now lets note here that I'm not actually defending the Israelis - it's
pretty clear that there rules of engagement were far, far too lax and
did result in war crimes. But if the TUC want any sort of credibility
they should apply the same metric to other countries too.

    Phil

[1] Count how much collateral damage they have inflicted in Iraq and
Afganistan? It's a hell of a lot more than the West Bank casualities

[2] How many Tamil civilians have died? Lots. More than lots. And those
that haven't died have been herded into concentration camps. But the
ongoing protests in London get no coverage whatsoever since they are
    not todays news any more.

If you think inflicting collateral damage is a war crime then I'm going
to insist we go back and rerun WWII with the Germans winning
