But there's not many of these about, so I thought that now the snow's gone and the rain's stopped I'd take a pic or two. Now that is very nice, I like well done -- XJ900 Trike ** GS850 Trike XV1000 TR1 Chop ** XLH1200 Sporty Chop [Rot 13 it]
WANT!! I imagine it has more grunt than a huge grunty thing. A PIG! No, a wild boar. More grunt than a wild boar? A very big wild boar with four trotter drive and a thistle tickling its bollocks? I think I'd have that screen off it though. I likes it but we are a minority, bruvver Joe. <Makes secret vibrating V sign>
Hehe.. I'll have to remember that description. It seems to have enough grunt, certainly. The screen and the backrest have a 'quick release' mechanism: unlock them with the ignition key, pull the lever and they're off. I'm glad you like it bruvver -- Joe XV1900 Stratoliner (with added sparkle) PikeyJoe kinghell.com
I always thought the headlight was inspired by the Scout Trooper's helmet in Star Wars. Really? -- Joe XV1900 Stratoliner (with added sparkle) PikeyJoe kinghell.com
Ah, yes - I see what you mean. The three lines design was an attempt to design a V-twin cruiser without the leather/studs/tassels of the usual Harley clone. The design cues were the Art Deco 'Streamliner' styles of the '20s and '30s. Probably where Prestcold got their inspiration too. -- Joe XV1900 Stratoliner (with added sparkle) PikeyJoe kinghell.com
Though not in this case as I think that this one's got bevel-driven OHC, but done to look like it's got pushrods.
Nah, proper pushrods (makes the sign etc). -- Joe XV1900 Stratoliner (with added sparkle) PikeyJoe kinghell.com
Very nice. Certainly is more impressive than the XV1100 Classic I had a few years back. No, nowhere near. I *really* wanted to like the R3, but I'm afraid I don't. -- Joe XV1900 Stratoliner (with added sparkle) PikeyJoe kinghell.com
I had a go of one when they came out and I'd like to get a longer go at one. Triumph are doing some promotion on them, see their web page. What was it about the R3 that you didn't like?
