  1. Well i should hopefully be on the market for another ride soon. I was
unfortunate enough to t-bone a car last week out the front of gold coast
hospital on thursday around 4pm. The bike is destroyed but i am fine, albeit
    with a smaller ego.
Only downside now is that i have to claim through the 3rd parties insurance
because i don't, (couldnt afford), comprehensive.
So hopefully in yet6 another months time ill be out with 10g looking
again....maybe its time to add some cash and go a Gix1000. Any suggestions??

Will upload photo's of damages bike when i get the chance. Take it easy all
and keep it shiny side up!

  3. Glad to hear you're OK Josh.

Seems to be a bad week for bike accidents ... we can stop them now OK?

    Cheers

  5. The spare bike is in many many pieces. So i dont have anything to get
around. I'm glad to be ok, but was devastated when i seen the bike. I had
only had it back for 4 days since the respray from it being knocked over.

  6. I had just merged into the left hand lane to go around stationary
traffic when someone had stopped in the other lane to let a man in the
opposite direction turn into a driveway. Unfortunately he failed to see me
coming in the lane i was on and turned straight across my path. I t-boned
him then landed in the middle of the right hand lane behind his car.
He had turned across a painted median strip and popped up straight in
front of me. I braked progressively and managed to lock the front wheel
about a metre before the collision. Unfortunately i had only a car length to
wash off the 60kmh i was doing, it wasnt enough.
When i upload the bike damage pics, i'll also draw some pics to help
    explain it a little better.

  7. So it was his fault correct?
Are you not claiming off his insurance?

Jeeze I see this kind of prang a lot!
No one ever seems to ask "why has that car stopped?"....
(and the oncoming vehice never seems to ask "is there anything in the next
    lane?")

Glad to here your OK but really sorry about the bike. (having been in the
same situation recently). Where the Police called? If yes get the traffic
incident number from them, hopefully saying he's at fault. Call his
insurance company ASAP tell them the details of the prang, from what you say
he's got no hope of contesting it. Just importantly provide the names and
contact details of any witnesses who can back you up. If you can get all
that together it shouldn't take to long to get that new machine in the
    garage.

    Cheers,

    Paul

ah nothing like paying half the bikes value to a company on the chance that
    you might have to claim

  15. ....regardless of whether the premium comes to 40% of what the bike's worth.

You are also considerably older than josh.
Besdes it sounds to me like he's not at fault and he should claim off
    the other party.
I pay $390 for $12000 cover full comprehensive rating one protected.

But I'm a few months short of 40
