Probably not actually... I've had plenty of experience on this side of the
fence... people running into me... but I've never had anyone make a claim
against me as the "at fault" driver/rider.

    Shhh... Rocker cover was $100.

But there's no cheque. They've authorised the repairs, sO I need to get
    $2k worth of work done.....

Lets see, new fork tubes, rebuilt front and rear suspension, Maybe a
    little paint.

Fear of losing no claim bonus.
Some people are really that stupid.

  13. In order in which I've encountered them:

Pig-ignorant insistence on the accident not being their fault.
Innate tendency to try and weasel out of each and any tight spot in which
    they might find themselves.

  15. Suncorp have an internal rating builder for no claim on 'TPPD + Extras'
cover. So after a few years when im older and apparently 'wiser' i'll also
have some no claim bonus to make the transition to paying for comprehensive
    insurancer easier/cheaper.
Plus i also know little to nothing about insurance companies, procedures,
right and etc. So yeah, i guess i am a little paranoid.

    do you drive a car?
if You have had full comprehensive on the car that is included when you
    cover a bike.
Well that's what qbe did with me.
I had full rating 1 on the cars so they immediately put my bike on
    rating 1 cover.
so maybe you should get a clapped out litle shitbox that's cheap to
insure never drive it and build up your insurance cover that way.

  18. "Look at the brakes on that thing! You stopped too quickly, of _course_
I was going to hit you, it's _clearly_ your fault..." (probably not word
for word accurate, I was pretty dazed at the time too...)

"Honest, I wasn't wheelying it this time, I just hit a bump and it tank
    slapped me off!" ;-)

Not to mention if the right hand lane is stopped or moving very slowly
you should be keeping your speed differntial as low as possible - you're
on odds on bet to have someone in the stopped lane pull into your lane
to get moving again either way you're in a vulnerable position in that
scenerio so you've gotta be ultra paranoid (lane splitting the centre
    lane is probably safer !!)
