Oh yes, we love a bargain.

In the last 10 minutes I jbought the holy grail of Honda wheels for
pocket money.

The CBR600FS to FW/NC30/VFR750FS to FW front wheel is the one all the
Fireblade boys want for their 17" conversions. I managed to snap a
slightly scraped on the rims one for 35 quid. I only need it for my
wets, so I don't give a **** about the cosmetics, it just needs to run
true and hold pressure. It can always be repaired and painted cheaply
if I ever get bothered about it.

I'm starting to act like all the other pikey racers now. It's now
become apparent that there's more kudos in winning a desired part
cheaply on ebay than there is in winning on track.

I shouldn't imagine that you've ever paid through the nose for something
mechanical and bike related. I mean that in a good way btw.

Could do with an NRG 13" front wheel with good tyre for nothing, if you
happened to see a good front wheel that's not smouldering in a burned
out heap.

When I sold my old Audi 80 Coupe, the next owner put the wobbly original
wheels back on, rather than have the older type true running wheels.
"Cosmetics" I thought.

Winning on the track with an ebay special has got to be kudos enhancing
too, more so than the sum of both types of kudos points.
