I appear to have won myself a Sidewinder on Ebay and now I need to
decide whether to work out a way to have it easily detachable on the
Tenere so I can use it for next years jaunt or go full retro and chuck
    it on a 2-stroke.

I'm sure there's a Yamaha from that era sitting somewhere in our
    garage...

A Jawa 350 is the traditional place to hang one of those.

You do realise that the passenger is required to sit in/on the chair (at
least most of the time) rather than the pillion seat when hillclimbing?

Not a problem. Are we going to fit it on one of your bikes and ratchet
strap your lad onto the chair?

Strangely enough, I have a Sidewinder sitting in our lockup. I got it
from a guy on Freecycle a couple of years ag

For a brief moment, I thought you were referring to the missile by the
    same name.

I've had my sweaty little fingers on quite a few of those over the
years and I'm sure this one will make me laugh a lot more than the
    others did.

You never got the opportunity to use them, though. I'd pay to mount a
couple of those to my bike or car. Never mind the warhead, just the
motor hard mounted, although I can think of a few uses for live
    missiles...

I'm rather jealous but I realise for proper ice riding a rigid chair is
    probably better.
