I dunno, I quite like that.

 

Bleedin 'ell. What's that supposed to be? If it's a sports bike, it's
way too heavy. If it's a sports-tourer, the pillion isn't going to
have much fun. Bizarre. BMW must be laughing quietly.

That's just ugly. Very BMW-ish, but I guess that's probably the market
at which they're aiming it.

Doesn't appeal to this here BMW owner, but then again I'm not too fond
of the new BMW designs anyway.

 

What we need is "ugly touring bikes" group test - VFR1200F vs Versys vs
Bandit.

It looks better than my Bandit.

 

That's so they can sell you the optional "luxurious Alcantara seat for
extra comfort".

Snorting into their Steins, I'd imagine.

 

Oh, the Versys definitely loses.

 

Quite. High seat, grab handles to get in the way and exhaust fumes
nicely fumigating you when at a standstill.

And this bit puzzled me. "The bike is capable of staying in top gear
(in the same gear) between 130 and 195 km/hr". What happens if you
want to go faster than that?

 

I wouldn't count the Versys as a touring bike (1)(2) and that new
Honda is the ugliest thing I've seen in years.

(1) I know you can tour on it but you can tour on a 125 if you want
to.
(2) As far as I can tell it's more of a commuter than anything else.

 

It's like they've gone out of their way to make an uglier FJR1300.

Useless.
