    You can still wank then.
Nerves take a while ... the nerves down my shoulders still occasionally give
me problems from an accident in 1982 ish.
Heh, even the 'clumsy ****' ones?
Which might be a good thing.

Well after seeing the bike at the accident I was certainly glad to see
Nigel without more serious injuries than he has.

Where's Pip and Ace to point it out?

  8. Perhaps this is better than having a highly sensitised area, which has
a constant pins and needles type sensation which can be felt as pain.
In fact just typing about it and letting my awareness rest there is
highly irritating. 12 years on though it is easier to control pain
centres and the like. I have a numb area as well, the burns, knocks
etc are far easier to deal with.
Yes, you have to pay attention. Still I don't think WUN was in the
habit of picking things up with his toes, but you never know with him.
Full feeling would be ideal yes.
I don't want to think about what fiddly things your fingers are doing

Oh, I was talking about subscribing - I don't think I met any UKRMers
face to face until '97 (actually, at an Ixion event, IIRC, but Trevor
Dennis from UKRM was at it too).

  11. One of the things I miss from living at my old place was the visits and
the often stopping over of UKRM and Ixion on their way to the continent
    or track days at Lydden.

And the yearly parties which were often attended by the two groups.

I haven't seen Trevor since he moved to NZ(?).

    I'm 99% sure the event I'm talking about[1], you weren't at.

Anyway, I still look young(er) if I grow my hair out, though I haven't
    done that in 4 years.

The same way as I was 'lucky', according to some, after my prang last
year. One doctor (locum GP) went so far as to suggest that my
miraculous survival must surely make me believe in God. FFS.

  19. I was involved in an incident as a front seat passenger in a car.
The result was we spun through one and a quarter turns across all the
lanes of a motorway both sides. It was before barriers were down the
middle. This was during the rush hour when all lanes were packed and
doing 70 mph. The spinning car slotted though gaps between the traffic
with out touching a single other vehicle. It happened so fast none of
the other drives had time to react. When the car stopped with its rear
stuck in a hedge and the front just on the hard shoulder I got out and
    looked up and thought:
"OK what the f**k are you saving me for!!!"

  20. Three weeks ago I aggravated a background sciatic nerve condition and by
**** was it sore. Weirdly, it wasn't the sciatic nerve itself, it was
the entire right shin felt like some bastard was continually hacking
away at it with football boots.

As far as the brain was concerned though, some bastard was.

Referred pain is a ****. I've had a look around and didn't find much
linking the sciatic nerve and the shin as far as referred pain is
concerned, but this whole episode followed another trapped nerve
experience with the femoral nerve, so that might have had some bearing
    on it.

Anyway, the GP said I was just weird.
