How are you finding it now anyway? Did you have suspension issues like
Bonwick, or was it OK out of the box? And how would you, objectively,
compare it with the later gixxers?

It was "ok" out of the box, but as I got a little more used to it I
found I was getting bounced out of the seat still, so I've set it to
the Bonwick settings for now.

If by "later gixxers" you mean K3 onwards, then I'm not sure I'm
really qualified to comment. Compared with my K1, it's difficult to
really put it into words. The best I can come up with is:

- the GSX-R1000 can be ridden insanely fast, all the while making the
rider feel totally in control.
- the ZX10R can be ridden just as insanely fast, all the while making
the rider feel like he might die any moment.

 

I was thinking k5/6 actually - I thought you'd ridden Daz's, or
something. Presumably not.

The Evil Twin coughed into life this afternoon, for the first time in many
months. I need to tighten a few nuts and bolt and stuff, then it's off for
an MOT.

 

... and I've got my test ride booked for Saturday.

It's BMW a-go-go these days; Loz must think it's Xmas.

I really really hope I don't like it, or things could get complicated.
