  2. "Protection" being the key word: Halvarssons Safety jacket or Scott
Leathers "Road Airflow". Both are "CE" marked, conform to EN 13595-1
Level 2 and are fitted with EN 1621-1 shoulder and elbow protectors and
an EN 1621-2 level 1 back protector is optional. Perform a group search
and there is plenty of information in another recent thread.
What you are looking for does not exist at this price point. Google for
    the quotations of Ruskin.
I would hazard a guess at less than half a second of abrasion
resistance between contact and catastrophic failure. This is a "caveat
    emptor" product.

Heh. I paid the thick end of £250 for my Spidi textile jacket. It was
top of the range a the time (I got a deal) but it's absolutely minging
    now and needs changing.
That'll be fine for crash speeds that result in a half second slide
    though, surely ;)

Well, it's certainly a step up, and the manufacturer is a respected
    one.

I'd forget the price point, and getting one mail order. Go into a shop,
try them on, get something that fits well and looks durable, preferably
CE marked and containing CE approved armour.

As with most things, you get what you pay for, particularly with
    protective clothing.

Unless you buy Dainese of course ;)
