That's from BMW's own range. Go to a BMW dealer ...

I'm thinking there are shedloads of pefectly good alternatives with much
lower price tags, but I suppose 'the badge' dictates the ridiculous
    price, doesn't it?

Not just the badge Loz, it has been worn by a "TV Personality" innit,
which makes it double the price to punters.

Anybody happen to know what type of jacket Molly wears?

I'm likely to be in the market for some all year round bike wear as
mine's getting a bit frayed after 4 years use. Any recommendations?
It's currently a H-G Jacket and H-G Tuareg trousers and still very
    weather proof just shabby.

It's a BMW jacket, which is why it has BMW written all over it.

Visit www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk, go to the Products area on the left and
click "Rider Equipment" then go to the "Motorcycle suits" section and
look at the "Textile suits" area. It's not there as it's a bit old. I
would suggest going to any motorcycle shop and save many of your pink
pounds by purchasing something without BMW on it that is equally
    lovely.

I saw someone wearing one recently. Two people were standing in Rye's
infamous 'bike park' next to their brand new BMW R1200GS with matching
textile suits, matching BMW helmets and the husband with a Nicorette
Inhalator. It made me want to cry.

Yes, dear, but nearly everything makes you want to cry.

  16. Perhaps there is an upside to BMW ownership after all... the necessity
to pay for the gear meant giving up smoking.

Mo Childs emerged from their own little world to say
I'd say go for the H-G stuff again.

There's little point buying any of the stuff that cost more than H-G as you
are likely paying extra for a brand without getting any extra protection or
    durability.

Unless, that is, you are willing to spend 3-4 times as much for Rukka or
Halvarssons stuff which might be a worthwhile investment.

It's not difficult. You made a judgment about the BMW riders from what they
wore etc. Marina made a judgment about you from your posts.
