    I think Kawasaki is in Kobe, so probably not them.

    There's a possibility other suppliers in their supply chain might be.

  4. I think it is reasonable to assume that, regardless of specific local
    troubles, Japan as a whole is going to be closed for a few weeks while
    they find and bury the bodies.

    Over and above this they have lost gert great chunks of their energy and
    petro-chemical production. Ports will be quite a mess and airports
    concentrating on incoming aid rather than passenger services.

    Also the yen will be dropping like a stone which will make credit a bit
    harder for business to get. On the bright side the bars and brothels will
    be doing a roaring trade servicing the needs of the tens of thousands of
    news crews descending like vultures upon the corpse.

    Apparently some Japanese owned factories in the UK are already affected by a
    parts drought.
