Jennifer's funeral

  1. I don't enjoy funerals but attending them is something I know I need
    to force myself to do.

But if there can be such a thing, let me say Fridays was one of the
    best I can remember attending.

The church filled to overflowing, casket up the front with
motorcycle helmet on top, good service by the Baptist senior pastor
Bill Brown (not too much religious content for an atheist like
me :) ), touching tributes from family and friends (bringing
moisture to many an eye in attendance), "Amazing Grace" played by
Scottish bagpiper leading the casket out of the church and down the
road closely followed by a long line of bikes and their riders on
    the way to the crematorium.

A nice touch was "Born To Be Wild" played quietly as mourners filed
    out of the church.

(I also have a 10Mb mpeg video of bikes leaving the church which I'll
send to someone who can convert and put online)

    Hi,

I've just been to a funeral myself of my mum's brother - a biker all his
life, raced Trumpys as a young guy, rode everything over the years and was
an amazing mechanic and car racer. Died of cancer at 59 a few weeks ago -
    bloody waste.

Glad it was a good send off and good on you for going. They always leave
you with some sense of relief that you put in the effort. I didn't know of
Jennifer and hope she had a fulfilling life, despite leaving us at such a
young age (I was born in '68 too).

If you can email me a url to download the mpg I'll convert it for you. Just
let me know what format you're wanting, size etc. and I'll do it and send it
    back.

    Cheers,
