more Home Truths. What a relief.

 

I'm gonna miss him.

I'm with Boris on expressions of public grief but Peely was a good'un. A
stinking liberal but a genuine institution nevertheless. Between this and
Alistair Cook weekend radio has become something of a black hole.

 

That's a shame. RIP.

 

Yes, an era indeed. The bloke was a star, and will be missed by a lot of
people, me included.

They played it three times this afternoon after the announcement of his
death. I turned the radio right up and sang like a good 'un every
time.....I love that song.

 

Nearly drifted across a lane when I heard on the way home, staring at
the radio.

 

Yup, he'll be greatly missed by all, no less the bands that relied on
him for exposure.

 

That mellifluous voice late at night, via a single off white ear piece,
telling of the new bands and old favourites - the sound of Mark E Smith
under the bedcovers. Waking up to hear a hissing or something in French.

I'm gutted.
