British Superbike champion John Reynolds suffered a broken leg during
    testing in Spain.
Reynolds was nearing the end of his first day on the new GSX-R1000K5
Suzuki when he slid off the Valencia circuit.

It was revealed he had broken the tibia and fibia in his right leg and
team boss Robert Wicks said: "We're trying to determine the best
    treatment."

Team-mate Scott Smart, who made a successful debut, said: "I am gutted
for JR and wish him a speedy recovery."

    Hah, f***ing hah.

So it looks like JR has another year with a handicap. Well he won the
championship last year, breaking his collar bone half way through the
year. But that's a tough way to start the year. There may be just enough
time for it to heal sufficiently that he'll race at the first meeting.
But it's going to make it tough to get fit. And at his age it's tough
    anyway.
