    It didn't though.

    It just decided to pretend it had a flat battery then spring back into
    life after 15 minutes. Once it had me fooled it waited until I was
    right in the middle of the roadworks just before the M11 before
    flashing the engine management light up and then losing all panel
    lights and the tacho. At that point I nipped off up the M11 for about
    1/2 mile before pulling over and hitting it with sticks.

    It'll be ok for next years winter jolly.
