    My father in law actually did something similar when they lived in a tower
    block. Someone was threatenening to jump from the floor above and was
    disturbing the kids sleep. From what I recall him telling me he opened the
    window and yelled "Fucking jump or shut the **** up, you're waking my kids
    up". At which point the jumper climbed down. The police weren't too
    impressed by all accounts.

    They should fit the bridge with those 'tippy' things like the seats they fit
    in (some) bus stops.
