Just asking for a freind like.

  1. If one where one equates roughly to a committed bike rider type were to
consider the purchase of a scoot as a winter hack what on earth would
    one be looking for?

I did suggest to him that ready combustibility would of necessity be
high on the list but he insists such a thing would make an ideal WHO for
his modest needs but knows absolutely **** all about the scoot market.

Which for example is the Honda and which is the Levered? and what do you
look for in a Niger? These it seems to me are perfectly reasonable
questions and so I decided to ask them in a wholly unreasonable place.
    On his behalf of course.

If you want to go quick, get an Italian two stroke scooter, if you want
to just go, buy a Honda four stroke scooter. I wouldn't even touch a
French scooter with a barge pole. What size scooter would sir be buying?
If it's a winter hack, anything too trendy is going to cost mega ££,
    that's why I thought a SH125 would be good.

  4. Not a stroker no, those days are past.

Or else I will have to stay all night?

Presumably then that nice Mr Hondas' reputation for building roadworthy
and reliable machines extends to scoots?

I think my friend wants something a little more powerful than a leaner
legal. Other than that his tastes and mine are remarkably coincident.

  5. Oo you should hear My Baby on that subject, particularly about those who
hail from Africa. Not impressed at all by their manner she isn't. And
while she accepts that it may well be the case she is not mollified by
knowing it is all a matter of cultural differences.

Quote from her "In my experience black Africans men are filthy, slimy,
sleazy and don't seem to understand the word no and the whites are all
of the aforementioned and untrustworthy to boot. I think she has a
    downer on the whole continent.

One form of flattery is to mimic. One or two Honda scooter engines are
copied by a number of Chinese manufacturers. Same with the CG125 engine,
    and that's a goodun too.
Ok, get a 400 cc or 500 cc Honda scooter then. I just don't tend to hear
bad things said about Honda scooters. Plenty about Italian and French
    though.
