.... make sure you get an electric start one... you REALLY don't want to leap
up and down on a 650 kickstart :D

I went to look at one before settling on the F650 and watching the seller
leaping on the kickstart, getting increasingly distressed as the feckin'
thing refused to fire up was enough to put me off, waited a week longer and
got the F650 for only a few quid more.

Don't have any probs with a couple of kicks but watching someone attempt to
multi kickstart a grumpy 650 single a pitiful sight :) Poor bugger was
lathered in sweat and not so much as a murmur of life from the engine.

Either he's doing it wrong or the engine's nadgered. Properly set-up
engines, even big ones, should never be a problem to kickstart.

I've probably mentioned before that early goldwings came with a
detachable kickstart that lived under the dummy tank. Took just a
minute to fit and was really not at all difficult to get it started
    with...

May I introduce you to flook's CR500 and the legwounds flook and others
incurred? The persons who managed to start the fucker, were allowed to ride
it. Not many have had the pleasure (?)

Might I mention Onebus an XBR500 which had both electric and kick-start
and what I used to pose with when there was burds looking by jumping up
and down on it but only when it was warm and what never bit me once.

    I've ridden it.

Jumping off the milk crate was the desired method.

Someone remind me - was it a cr500 that WavyDavy (I think) had at the
EOSM I came over for a couple of years back? I remember several people
failing to start it, but a quick 'give it here' later (by me) and it
    started first kick.

Mebbe it was a 250, thinking about it...

Is that the 'twin choke' Teikei carb set up ? If so there is a cunning
plan devised by Nordwest owners who suffer similar problems.
