JustAl highsided whilst riding near his work today. Something to do with a
manhole cover and trying to fly.

Broken thumb. Quite a number of bruises and scrapes. But nothing too
    serious.

That'll teach him not to respect the awesome power of the bike he was on at
    the time.

Flying is easy, it's just a matter of throwing yourself at the ground and
    missing.

    Cheers for a speedy recovery.

    It wouldn't be the first-time he's left skid-marks on a manhole!

Youchy! Which hand, and which bone in the thumb? Metacarpals (palm
bones) are pretty damned painful, in my experience...

Thanks for the thoughts folks. I was test riding a GT200 VESPA SCOOTER! A
    FREAKIN SCOOTER!

Anyway, on the test route we take about half way through an intersection is
a manhole cover that sits a fair bit lower than the rest of the road. I
managed to clip it causing the suspension to bottom out and kicking the rear
out to my left and before I knew it I was tumbling down the road thinking to
    myself,

"I'm not wearing my jacket, damn....stay floppy."

I've managed to walk out with some scrapes and bruises and a fracture of my
    Proximal Phalanx.

    Yay!

It was a scoot from his employer and while he was working.
