K&N Stockists - any recommendations?

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Dave Jennings, May 5, 2005.

  1. Where's a good place to get hold of a K&N air filter set, particularly
SU-1487 if it makes any difference?

I was hoping to find someone with these in stock, but the ones Google's
thrown up are all quoting 3-5 days. If that's what it is then fine, but
I'd love to get hold of someone with these gathering dust on a shelf!

LOL! Yup, I'm slapping these in as a first move! Seems the original
stock style filters were put back in so I'm *hoping* this at least
    makes a big difference!!

Plugs when I took them out were very black and sooty - doesn't that
    indicate they're running very rich?

    have you tried the dealerships?

You could also go down the route of taking out the air box and using
filters that clamp onto the carb mouths.

Yes, with no joy. All looking at special order of qyuoted times of 8
days ( best ) to 6 weeks if K&N UK don't have them.
Far too high tech for me!! 8^)

In fact, I've also contacted K&N UK direct to see if they could point
me in the right direction for some stock!

DING. I've had a few blasts on the 6R but don't enjoy it as much.
    gas >analyser would prove it.

Hooray. I'll let you know the outcome once I wrestle the new filters
    in!!
