Kappa Luggage

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Ken McCulloch, Nov 29, 2003.

  1. I noticed this kit which looks much like Givi hard luggage in the local
dealers today. It's considerably cheaper however. Anyone had any
experience of this stuff? Any good?

I have a 40 litre Kappa case on the ZRX. It's waterproof (which of
course means that it will leak the next time it rains) and reasonably
    secure.

which means you're likely to leave the keys inside sometime soon...
    gotta spare? ;)

If it's like the Givi this isn't possible. Or at least not with the
lock design there is on mine.

That's Darren's trick. Mine is leaving the keys to the luggage a
hundred or so miles away from the luggage, meaning that I had to force
the lock open. Full gory details on

  6. I have the 48l top box with the 40l side panniers, all fit with no probs on
    the Givi rack system.

I have been told (perhaps SWK - Lozzo? could confirm) that Kappa & Givi
stuff is all made at the same factory. Locking system is the same, as is
the elasitc luggage retaining straps in the boxes. keys are of the same
type but with different plasicky bits.

The design on the Kappa is the same.

Got one on the rear of my XTZ. Bought a few years ago and *horribly*
abused but has never leaked and works well. Very impressed for the
    money
