Kawasaki ER-5 Dynojet...

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Dave Thompson, Oct 28, 2005.

  1. looking to Stage 1 my ER-5 but am reluctant to pay the £70 odd for a couple
of jets.... anyone know the sizes I would get in a Dynojet kit? Anything
    else I may need?

    Thanks in advance...Dave

Similar to my reply to the foglamps question... Do you *really_need* to
    dynojet an ER-5?

You don't need to buy the kit - a half decent dyno shop should have the
necessary jets & needles etc, but it's fairly pointless just buging a kit on
    without dyno time, too.

So, in short, if you *really_really* want to do it, then find a shop with a
Dynoet250 or better and have them sort out the fuelling for you.

My advice, buy a bigger bike....with a larger output alternator.

    I haven't lost my mind, it's
backed up to a floppy disc
    that's around here somewhere.

  4. Well I do have a 1200 Sportster as well...this is just my work hack - hence
the big lights for those winter evenings... don't really need a jet
    kit...just making enquiries.
    Thanks anyway.

Why not fit a decent GPZ500S engine and then Dynojet it?

If it's just dark, you don't need the fogs either, unless you want to join
the ranks of the souped up Nova 1.1 twat brigade.

What you *do* need to do is read the FFAQ and, for a start post below the
mesasage you are replying to just like Lozzo and I did.......
