Kawasaki parts?

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Anonymouslemming, Feb 12, 2009.

  1. Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a Kawasaki parts supplier online? I tried using a
dealer, but they ordered the wrong part. I tried z-power, but couldn't
find what I'm looking for there.

I'm looking for the chain adjuster cover and locking nuts from the
right hand side. I'm not sure where this has gone, but I need it to
    adjust the chain :)

Apologies if the sig-sep is broken here. I'm using google groups to
post and it seems to be stripping out the trailing space. I'll try and
    find a decent newsreader.

    Thanks in advance,

I'd have thought that a Kawasaki parts supplier should be able to supply
    parts for any Kawasaki...

At a guess, his bodge wired Kawasaki ER6-f.

Though it would have been more helpful for
    him to explicitly state it.

Z-Power specialises in parts for ShiteOldKawasakis rather than modern
    ones, so possibly not.

  8. Doh! My ER6-f. I just figured one Kwak suppler would be as good as any
    other :)

    It's a blatant clue, the naieme[1] innit?

[1] How do you write "name" with a Brummie accent then?

    It should be.

Ordering parts over the phone can be a bit of a nightmare, as often
the Kawasaki english translation of things is a bit odd (cowling for
fairing, as an example), and with small complex assemblies it's quite
easy mistakes to arise over the phone.

Pretty much every dealer I've been into usually lets you look at the
microfiche and point at the bits you want.

.... or you could look up the parts number first, to make sure you know
what you want (as long as you can find the fiche online).

I don't think "Sharon" works too well.

I pointed at the 'fiche in the Renault parts emporium, and they still
mananged to order the wrong part. Was meant to be one of those
disposable hub nuts, but managed to materialise as a tiny M8 nut
    labelled 'hub nut'.

    I don't think so ..

Aye, I'd forgotten about that. I just tend to use ronayers.com as it has
    other makes on there too.

  16. Thanks - that did the trick, after I found out what my bike was known
as there. Oh how I wish it were a Ninja :)

  17. Ok, having found all the various part numbers I need, can anyone
    advise an on-line supplier?

So far I've found one place in the US who won't ship orders less than
USD75, so they're out. All of the brick and mortar stores in the UK
want me to go in, make the order, then go back to collect. The only
kwak dealer listed on their website for my neighborhood is Metropolis
and I'd prefer to avoid them if at all possible.

    The bits I need are
    11065 CAP,CHAIN ADJUSTER,BLACK
    23008 - SOCKET-ASSY,TAIL LAMP

Any advise on where to get these and sundry other bits would be much
    appreciated !

    Thanks,

Presumably you tried Cradley Heath Kawasaki? They seem to offer mail
order, though they have little listed on line.

Why do you not go into the dealer ? You would have spent a lot less time and
have your parts on order by now !

  20. I can order online and post here from work. I can't get the 2 hours
off during business hours to actually go to the dealer and back to the
office. I've worked every Saturday and Sunday for the last several
    weeks.

To be fair, I did have my first 8 hours away from work in 3 weeks
today, but I couldn't face dealing with Metropolis. If I can find a
branch that is open tomorrow I'll try and go in.
