Has anyone got one of these, I'm looking for a replacement for my
Hornet. Typical riding is 9-5 commuting & the odd weekend 2up blast.
Alternatively I've also seen an SV650 but dubious if it'd last through
    the winter??

Versys is ugly as **** and seems expensive to me. The parallel twin makes
only 60bhp compared to the 90 odd you are used to.

Yamaha's Fazer is an inline four making Hornet-like power for less money
than the Versys. Comes in naked or faired versions.

You're not wrong there with the UGLY factor - good job you have
to wear a helmet to ride the thing.
I've done the Fazer and loved it, the 1st model is still the best (and
    again ugly!)
Was looking for at a change from 4 cylinders - would like the Triumph
street triple but would have to sell my Granny on Ebay to master that
    one....

Well, if you want a twin with a bit more oomph, have a look at the TDM900.
I had the mk2 version of the 850. It was a lovely bike. Residuals are
rubbish so you should be able to get a newish bike for a decent price.

The 850 was an excellent bike 2 up.

Do you think he's worried with a name like fudgemonkey?
