Im just about to buy one of these beauties for my first bike. If
anyone else had started with one of these,do you agree that they are
better then the cbr, even though they are near equal in performance!
the ZX2R have upside down forks, which improve turning! Does anyone
    agree with me????

  2. Where are you buying it from?

There are a lot of people out there who will rip you off, and seeing as
there is no such thing as a ZX2R, whoever is selling it to you may be doing
    just that.

    Yes.

Try turning the engine upside down to improve power!

  5. I know there are PLENTY of people out there (some who know they are wrong,
others who are just misguided) who will tell you they have a (or several)
    ZX2R.

    Fact is, they don't exist.

They are all ZXR250s that have been resprayed and had fake decals stating
    "ZX2R" stuck on them.

I can stick a decal on my bike that says it's a GSXR1000, but it's still
    going to _be_ a ZX10.

    It's like the people that tell you they've bought a '2003 R2 that's only
done 8000km. (In that case it's more than likely a late 80's/early 90's
FZR250 that's been brought into the country as a grey import in 2003, been
repainted, had R2 stickers pasted onto it, and has had the clock wound back
    while still in Japan.)

  6. First 10 (related and discernable as to model (ie had pictures))
    results.....

    GPX250 labelled as a ZX2R (WTF!?!?!?!?) - 1

    ZXR250C labelled as a ZX2R - 4

    ZXR250C _not_ labelled as a ZX2R (but still described as) - 2

    ZXR250A labelled as a ZX2R - 1

    ZXR250A _not_ labelled as a ZX2R (but still described as) - 2

    Anything that really was a ZX2R - 0

    Hmmmmm.

and what about the 20K camchain changes

stick with the CBR , will find a decent clean late 90's aussie bike for the
    same
money as a early 90's unknown jap import ZXR
