Saturday sees the last KP autojumble of the year - always a busy one,\nunless it pisses down.\n\nIt's only three weeks since the last one, which resulted in me phoning\nTimo and telling him there was another XL250S Motosport up for grabs.\nFrantic screams came out of the handset, which was then passed to the\nseller, and of course the silly sod bought it. Or rather, I bought it\nfor him.\n\nI remind you that this is the man who said he deliberately wasn't going\nto go because he knew he'd spend money if he did. KP gets you like\nthat.\n\nAnyway, it's always a damn good day out, and there really are some\nbargains to be had. I picked up a brand new pair of aftermarket cans\nfor my XS650 for £65 last time. Mind you, I also paused by the\nAeroplane Man (he flogs all sorts of ex-RAF bits and bobs, and on one\nmemorable occasion tried to sell me an ejector seat) because he had a\ndrop tank from an old F86 Sabre.\n\nI know, I know. It had a sign on it saying "Would make good sidecar\nbody", and for a moment I paused and thought; "Hmmm, it would, too...\nAnd there's a geezer over there with a sidecar chassis for sale...."\n\nAnd then I got a grip. God knows what The Doctor would have said if I'd\ncome back with a drop tank. I loved the seller's logic, though. "I've\nwound up owning a drop tank! I know, I'll take it to Kempton. Some\nnutter there is bound to buy it."\n\nSo if anyone's not get anything better to do, see you there? KP is\nbetween Hampton Court and Sunbury, SW edge of London.
