  1. Saturday.

WUN and Packer - are you still up for the Sharing of the Pitch? And WUN,
will you be stopping over at the Chateau on the Friday night?

I'm going to say no, sorry. I just don't have any spare time ATM.

  3. I would like to say yes... but I'm up to my ears in Norway preparation
so I can't take the time out.

Sorry but I've just spent the last three weekends in the garage putting
the bike together, servicing it etc. and need to spend next weekend on
the last couple of things plus checking out the camping kit, buying a
few bits'n'pieces, loading the bike and taking it for a spin.

Realise I owe you a few quid for the last pitch; my email's name@gmail
so if a paypal invoice is good enough send it to me.

  5. Done.

When asked what the payment was for I didn't like to tick the box that
    said "personal services".

  6. Received, ta.
    Heh.

You didn't miss much today. It was effing freezing, rather a lot of gaps
in the ranks of stalls, and not a huge punter turnout, either.

Saw Steve Loukes, drifting around. Flogged about £140 worth of stuff,
    same home.

Maybe the next one, in March, will be better.

    *waves*
Was going to pop over for a biscuit but you appeared to be being
berated by some gimmer bemoaning the spiralling price of 400/4
    parts....
Wasn't a bad day , picked up some V-rod parts for £20 which will
    fetch £200 on Ebay.

  8. Heh. I was walking past a ShiteOldBritBike stand and noticed a rather
clean speedo sitting forlornly in a box full of rusty Meriden crap.

"How much for the speedo?" I asked the bod.

He turned it over and over in his hands. "Dunno what it's from. A
    tenner?"

    I looked sceptical.

"Seven quid is the best I can do."

    "Oh, OK then."

    It's a Kawasaki triple unit :)

    So - that means it goes 0 - 10 - 20 - 45,98,123 - 0 ... and there's
only 17 miles on the odometer. Right?

And the fuel guage at the bottom always reads "Empty".

Standards are clearly slipping around here.

If it's like my old one, then the missing damping oil will mean it
swings wildly between 0 and 20 at a standstill.

  15. Heh. My H1 speedo used to suffer from Morrish Minor-itis as well.

  16. Moggy speedos only did that because of a dry or snagging inner cable.
