    I clipped mine on a cats-eye once[1] at about 60, that hurt for about 4
    years.

    I usually try to feel for it then gradually increase the pressure but
    this time my knee started to get very hot. I'm sure it's the titanium
    inserts that are transferring the heat.

    How far do they go in? I think mine are down to just above the velcro, so
    it would need to transfer heat through the leathers as well. How long was
    your knee on the deck?
