My new Mitas CO2 rear on the KMX200 proved last Sunday to be the best, most
grippy fucking thing I've ever, *ever* ridden. No question _at_ all. My mate
on his MT500 (who does 24hr trials etc) bottled at a near vertical hill
covered in snow I went down. I got to the bottom in the woods and saw he
wasn't with me. Spent about 10mins doing a U turn then straight up the slope
it went. No messing at all. None!
Then I blew it following him back though the woods and fell off big stylee.
sun in the eyes, big log in the way.....
    sodding ouch.

Trelleborgs [1] are fitted [2] and looking suitably knobbly.
I have a 150 of them there studs and I'm worried I should have got more
    ....
The bike is in a lot of bits and looks like it might never run again.
Plan is to change the oil,oil filter, air filter and cambelt.
I have some new control cables to strap on as spares.
    Inspect the clutch possibly.
I have a new mikuni carb' and rubbers which I hope will sort out the
    starting hassle [3].

    1. Mitas extreme army t644 actually.
    2. To rims, bike is still sat on blocks until tomorrow
    3. And likely introduce a rough tickover and so on...

Cambelt is a good idea, and take a spare with you. The oil filter was
renewed about 1500 miles ago, before the French run.
I'm thinking the clutch cable has stretched slightly, might be best to
renew or readjust on the actuator
Ah, ok. Maybe we should pass on that CV carb to Sweller then ... ?

At the weekend first attempts to start the bastard resulted in wet plugs
and frayed tempers so I left in disgust and possibly a little despair.
This morning I decided to give it a couple of kicks as I had to walk
    past it.
    Second kick; fired up......
So; I spent a few minutes getting it warmed up. Left it a bit too long
and found it with its headers a bit red.
Anyway I didn't have much time but the carb is a little better adjusted
    than it was.
We'll see how we go with a cold start day after tomorrow...
    Yes, definitely.
Good job you haven't sent it yet ;)

On its way to you now anyway, it was all agreed in the deal, so it's
    only fair.

There's also a clutch lever, those exhaust couplers and a spare cam
belt out there in storage land, so when they turn up, i'll send
    another boxful.

    Cheers,

    Paul.

You have no idea. Currently snowed in at the airport trying to get
back to NI. Fecking board is lit up with cancellations .. :/
Did it make it through the frozen wasteland of North Wales ?

    Cheers,

    Paul.
