On the way to the hotel just now, I realised (as it got dark) that I
had no front lights & no lights in instrument panel.

On arriving and checking no rear lights either.

Brake lights work, indicators work, main beam on the pass switch works
but not when you move the light switch from low to hi.

I'm guessing fuse? I've already asked if they can source me a
screwdriver so I can get under the seat in the morning.

Of course manual is it home so which one of what size will have to
wait until the morning as well.

Having worn textiles here yesterday and leathers here tonight I've
decided that I'm most comfortable in leathers. Textiles are more
awkward to move around in for some reason.

or the wiring to/from the switch or a relay

The relays are probably in the fuse box so when LN gets access to that she
should give them a whack, which might sort the fuckers.

I'm guessing she should have taken the Honda.

I could have, it's still all legal but my riding improves immensley
when I'm on the ZXR - I'm aware that it is a psychological thing -
there's no that much to choose between them as sports 400s, in fact
the Honda is slightly lower than the Kwak, but I've never 'bonded'
with it. I'm still in two minds whether to save it for track days or
just sell it to someone who would ride it.

It's worth **** all (given it was a category D write off for the
fairing, which you and Pip sorted) but it starts, runs and is a
competent beastie, just not to my tastes.

Keep it for when your youngest reaches 17. I'm sure she'd love it.
