Kwaka ZX-10_2004 models recall

    Just saw an urgent recall-notice at the Austrian-AutoClub site for an
    international recall re: alloy-rims/ front-wheel on all Kwaka ZX-10/ 2004
    models.
    If you got one, call your dealer.

    2. thought: might be that non-NSW-legal exhaust that causes the cast to
    fail? :))

    Mmm bit of a nasty one too. "Do not ride bike until new wheel has been
    fitted."

    Last I heard there was a long backlog, too.

    Defect details: On eligible units, spokes of the front wheel may
    contain casting flaws that affect the strength of the front wheel.
    Continued use of a front wheel containing casting flaws may
    potentially lead to breakage creating the possibility of loss of
    control of the vehicle.

    Consumer action: Contact your authorised Kawasaki Dealer.

    Consequences: On eligible units, spokes of the front wheel may contain
    casting flaws that affect the strength of the front wheel. Continued

    or death.

    Defect details: The front brake hose(s) could become trapped between
    the front fork and the front fender. This allows the front fork cover
    to contact the brake hose causing abrasion damage as the front fork
    moves through its travel. Continued use of the motorcycle with the
    brake hose trapped in this position could result in brake hose failure
    creating the possibility of loss of control of vehicle.

    Consumer action: Contact your authorised Kawasaki Dealer.

    Model Years From: January 2004 to July 2004

    Consequences: Continued use of the motorcycle with the brake hose
    trapped in this position could result in brake hose failure creating
