I've been away from biking for far too long, things have changed a bit and I'm now adapting to the state of the art 1982 model. The '82 KZ 550 has a closed crankcase system. The oily crankcase fumes are sucked into the intake tract and burned rather than being released into the delicate ecosphere. Shucks. The oldest trick in the book was to extend a breather tube to the chain and then the chain would receive a steady amount of oily vapor and that would make the chain last longer. Anyone tried to retrofit one of these arrangements? I know that it would be a violation of federal law but I don't think the Federales would come sneaking around here...... Whatcha think? Jake
