I stopped off there Thursday on my way back to Paris to see BRC and HWMBO and
wanted to do a short little write up on it. This way, BRC can't be accused of
    spamming the NG :)

About the area. Bloody excellent area for two wheels. I had the (mis?)fortune
to come up the D32 in the car which is a road that provides excellent twisties.
I say misfortune as the car isn't suited for the enjoyment but on a bike, it's
ideal. Even around the area of the Gite, there are some excellent roads, so on
a road basis alone, it's well worth the visit. The area is absolutely stunning
and I think both BRC and SO have fallen on their feet in picking the right
area. I took some pics and will stick them up shortly.

Getting to the Gite is very easy as it's bang slap on a crossroads, so you
can't miss it. There's ample parking for cars and bikes, with the added bonus
that bike parking is secure. Not that it's needed, IMO, as I hardly think that
the area is a haven of crime. :)

Both BRC and HWMBO looked on form despite the amount of work they've put into
the Gite et al in the preceeding months. I suppose the fact that the Gite is
pretty much finished (apart from the niggly things such as where the towels go,
the dusting, etc) does help. They've still got a lot to do, but the hardest
part is out of the way. In no way would the remaining projects affect your
    stay.

The rooms are really well laid out, very comfortable and very clean. You can be
reassured that the beds are superb and ideal after a hard days riding. A lot
of thought has gone into the preparation of the Gite and it shows. For a
peaceful nights sleep, the rooms are spot on. At night, the celestial view
is out of this world (I just wish I could have taken decent pictures of the
    stars).

As you can imagine, I can't question the hospitality of BRC and SO. It was
great to see them again. They've put a lot of hard work into this project
and I'm sure that they'll succeed. To anyone going through France, it's an
ideal stop off point to recover, rest and to enjoy their company. I'll be
going back without a doubt. For the moment, you can get all the info through
her facebook pages. I'm going to help her out with her website and once it's
done, I'll post the link up.

A couple of unrelated things. I've not put any news about BRC and SO in this
post, as you can all see the more personal stuff on her facebook page or you
    can just email her.

    1. I recall seeing posts about some facebook group (sort of related to BRC)
trying to add a significant number of us as "friends". Well, this was nothing
to do with BRC. She'd added the other group (can't remember the name) as a sort
of "cameraderie" thing as the other group was in the area. She didn't expect
them to spam every single one of her friends. BRC was horrified at this and
did put up an apology on her facebook group in case you didn't see it.

    2. I've set BRC up with usenet access, so time permitting, she'll be posting
on the NG. Previous access was limited to google groups, which isn't always the
    most user friendly of interfaces.

[1] I do include HWMBO in this so forgive me if I talk about BRC only. It's
because you all know BRC and I think HWMBO is entitled to some privacy atm as
I'm not sure he's familiar with the weirdness of UKRM.
