    Update:

Kathryn will be out on Friday, according to the doctors. Auntie Carole
are recovering the ZXR, Platy is currently somewhere between
Randersacker and Calais and I got back last night with most of her
luggage. I now have to score crutches and/or wheelchair to bring out
to Germany on Friday so I can take her back to Blighty on Crip Rail
    since Air Crip is verboten.

  3. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, M J Carley
Hand her a bottle of Scotch and a service revolver, and invite her to do
    the decent thing.

I'd cut out the extra step by simply keeping the Scotch myself.

Something of the sort has been suggested. When last heard from she had
been castigated for breaking the speed limit as she took her
    wheelchair out for a fag.

So did I initially but it turns out we were misinformed by Packer et
al. CN are collecting since they have a medical note saying the rider
    is broken.

Strap her to a board, add a handle and say she's hand luggage?

And since the tubes have been taken out, they can't say it contains
    too much liquid.

I've just booked Traunstein-Paris and I'm sorting out the yoyostar to
St P. and Derby. It's just about doable in one day without excessively
    tight connections.

Phone your local British Red Cross, they should have some stuff you

And indeed they did. I collect tomorrow and have to leave them a
cheque which will be returned uncashed when I hand back the chair.

What a brilliant organization. Thanks Dave.

Burnt should have done that as soon as the accident happened and he
should have torched the bike rather than leaving it behind enemy
    lines.

Some people are showing distinct signs of LMF.
