Laptop recommendations please

I suspect that it should read 64 bit. I'll double check tomorrow when I
phone them.

 

My biggest tip is to check the bottom and make sure there isnt a
sticker advising you NOT to use it on your lap.

A G560 is _definitely not_ a Thinkpad.

 

Under Tech Spec it says "Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64".

V quickly goes out of stock online but stores have them. Read the
thread carefully. Supplied with w7-32 installed but disks for 32 & 64
flavours in box. Most people find it quick enough for games etc.

I still haven't got to the bottom of why it has a 1GB video card but
windows reports only 64MB of graphics ram.

To you and Ginge I say that I did get two of the Edge models for around the
£500 mark. As I said, the prices vary wildly.

Strong words of caution about Laptops Direct. They mis sold us some warranty
and flatly refused to refund us. I had to pass it onto the CC company.

I'd say they are worth an extra ton though P. The HD HDMI output is pretty
good too.

Had a Medion before and wasn't too impressed with how long it lasted.

 

Noticed that. When I phoned earlier they couldn't decide whether it was 32
or 64 bit so they left the list.
