Leather repairs...

So who has a good reccomendation for zip replacement and minor
repairs on bike-leathers? Lozzo, you suggesting MJK for this? I hope
to find someone who a) does a good job, b) soesn't have too long a
turn-around time, and c) doesn't charge the earth...

There's a bird In Edgware who does alot of leathers repairs to a high
standard. If they're double stitched before then she does the same with
the repair. If you call the Harrow branch of Hein Gericke and ask for
Steve, he'll have her number. Failing that, Old Whinging-bollocks might
have heard of her cos he was a courier in that area. Oi, WC, any clues
here please.

If you can get them to Guildford, then I know of a company called 9-
Lives there who do repairs as well. Not used them or seen their work
though, so I can't recommend, but I have heard good things from those
who have.

 

Cobra leathers in Swindon. Zip replacement is about £4 IIRC

I used Nine Lives to get the zip that holds my 2-pece leathers
together replaced. They have also done some alterations on some of my
kit. Highly reccommended.

Used them quite a few times and bought a few things off them. I know
quite a few of the chaps at work have chosen them over BKS!
Heard no complaints and the stuff they have done for me has been
excellent quality, damn good value and very quick turnround
