I have a fine pair of Crowtree leather trousers, and have been unable
to get[1] a jacket made to go with them. Crowtree Leathers are no
longer taking orders, due to well-earned retirement. I have a Swift
leather jacket, but the waist zip on the jacket doesn't match the one
on the pants. Is there an easy way of getting a zip adaptor made up
    that will bridge the gap?

[1] as in "afford" - I won the trousers, and am relatively pikey.

Yes dead easy, buy 2 zips that will each fit one part on the
    Jacket/Trousers.

The get a strip of leather, cloth and have each half sawn onto that strip.

I popped into my local leather repairer and alterer
    (http://www.192.com/local/SWINDON/CLOTHING/COBRA_LEATHERS/X572B43387DA349
D0A42E7D5EABD4F5A6), and tasked the leather magician to magic the zips
to match, which she did by replacing the zip half in the jacket.

Picked it up about 2 hours later, paid a tenner or so and left a happy
    chap.

Blast. I always meant to get Crowtree to make me some leathers.

    Oh well.
