After careful consideration of all the possibilities, extensive research into all the brands, gathering the insight of the most renowned experts and trying on every items available on this earth [1], I am now the owner of a nice Teknic leather jacket, in the only true colo(u)r [2]. What it really came down to was the fact that someone down at UCSD was selling on second hand. Went down to try it on and it fitted like a glove. Really good condition and looks quite well made. In addition Paul Varnsverry seem to be speaking reasonably well of Teknic (all caveats accepted). Thanks for any pointers provided. One day I'll probably go out and get myself something taylor made, but I certainly can't afford it right now. Hoping I might pick up some pants [2] as well this way, but that's not too urgent.
