Got back to the bike after tonight's match. Jeans get stuck on peg on left side. Biker on my right warming up his CB600F. Not wanting to lean too much to the right to get stable, in case I shoved him into his bike, instead manage to drop mine on left side. I have to say, the way they made those VFRs so that the mirror breaks into a million pieces whilst protecting everything else from getting scratched, is rather wonderful. I thought I'd been riding long enough to leave these things behind me, but I suppose you always take your fuckwittedness with you. -- TD 1991 VFR400R NC30 (black and red) 1993 Eunos Roadster (supercharged) Could want: something more comfy, sprots or not Missing: SOB, Unreliable Italian exotica, Lardy tourer
Sounds like the R1 rider in full Arlen Ness gear I saw last Sunday who was parking up. He dropped the side stand and went to dismount, 'cept he'd stopped over a grid and the stand started to disappear down said grid. I have to admit I was impressed with the way he stopped the bike going over as if nothing was wrong and so salvaged some of his dignity. -- Richard XJ900S BOTAFOT #138, YTC#18, OMF#12 Email-remove insult to reply
Unlike the two chaps at Fox's last Sunday who turned up on a Versys and something else equally unspeakable. In Full Ewan & Charlie style they rode into the car park, stopped and started to topple. The one on the right fell over to the left at which poin the one on he left fell over to the right. Cue lots of people running over to help them pick their monstrosities up.
<touches wooden desk> My Versys has stayed upright so far. I took the precaution of lowering it so I could touch the floor comfortably. -- Lozzo Versys 650 Tourer Fireblade 929 (For sale) CBR600F-W trackbike SR250 SpazzTrakka, SR250 wivva topbox TS250C RD400F, somewhere I see a bright new future, where chickens can cross the road with no fear of having their motives questioned
