Apparentley my insurance co want to give me £200 quid for my lid.
I have had AVG lids for some years now, and having all the time in
the world to google for reviews and prices etc, I am not sure what
    the **** to do.

So, I suppose my question is, is £200 a good enough amount or do
I need to add a oner or so, and if so, does it make that much of a
    difference.

    Cheers.

Cit emerged from their own little world to say
AVG lids? Are you paranoid about catching a virus?

The only way to find a new lid is to go to a shop and find the ones that
fit properly. Once you have a short list then do some research on which is
quietest, best value, least hetero etc.

£200 will get you a perfectly serviceable lid. Top of the range pikey brand
    or entry level Arai/Shoei.

But Pikeys have harder heads than other people. Also, they have harder skin
so they can buy cheaper leathers.

Did you know that Cane used to be a pikey? now he's a poshpikey.

Oh that's right poke fun at the dyslexics!
I fathomed that, but having spent weeks looking at the range available
I am likely to spend the next 4 months trying on lids. What could be
betterer than field tested ukrm feedback?
I lives in the Fens, so pikey brand may well suit me...

Schoei helmets have been tested by bouncing them down several UK
racetracks by team ukrm riders. None appear to have suffered any brain
    damage.
    Speak to Lozzo then.

The Suomy Spec 1R helmet got a terrible score in the recent RiDE Mag
    safety test.
