Little wheelie things

I've seen somewhere those little wheelie things you can use in a small space
to move the rear end of the bike around easily. You just push your bike
onto them then you can move it sideways. Does anyone have any idea what they
are called and where can I get some?

Hmm, that'll be interesting for me too. Lemme know if you find one.

Trolleys are for wusses and girlies. ;-)

For those not able to pick up their bikes, try this link:

I've got one of those. Good, it is.

It won't work on the BlingMobile, which is a shame. The sides are too
high and would foul the pannier frames. Works a treat on the V-Max.

I keep thinking I need to build something to make getting the
BlingMobile in and out of the garage a lot easier. I need to be able to
turn the thing through 180 degrees[1] then slide it up against a wall.
At the moment this involves a 97-point turn and a hernia, which means I
don't use the bike that often because of the hassle.

I'm thinking of a steel trolley with castoring wheels at each corner,
and a central rail so that it doesn't wander away from where it needs to
go when I push it up against the wall. The rail would need to be
sub-surface so Mrs WUN's cage can still be parked in the garage.
Something like a box section with a slot cut in it, and jockey wheels
running inside it to guide the thing home.

Maybe the rail's overkill, and isn't really needed.

Hmm... I must get cracking on this.

[1] Note to Platy: in the vertical plane.

Pick up my bike, you've gotta be joking. The last time I had to move a bike
like that Loz did it for me.

    Oh goodie.

You can demonstrate the technique on the BlingMobile next time you're at
    WUNderland.

One tiny flaw in the plan, and you have to go and find it.

  18. Hoist.

Easy to put a couple of vertical RSJs in at the sides and a horizontal
one across them, then simply lift the bugger and turn it.
