Loads of police bikes on M42

    Around 6.40pm just past junction 2 heading towards the M5. Loads of
    lights in the distance on the opposite carriageway to me caught my
    eye. Twenty plus police bikes spread across all 3 lanes with another
    20 or so non marked bikes with riders in orange bibs behind them,
    followed by a few more police bikes and a range rover type thing. What
    was that all about then?

    The Tour Of Britain bike race starts in Worcester today and heads up
    to Wolverhampton. They'll have been the marshals.
