Looking for a VFR750

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Harry Bloomfield, Oct 24, 2004.

  1. Hi,

I'm looking to buy a late model VFR750 in the Yorkshire area if
    possible.

I've seen a few so far, with dealers expecting large sums for rather
tatty examples. Tatty looking I don't mind so much, providing a premium
price is not expected. Hard luggage would be a bonus.

VF1000Fs are nice, but I'd hardly say they're an alternative to a VFR.

  3. The F2 is nice, though. Lovely torque spread and so muscular, but yeah -
not in the same league as rgeards quality or purity of engineering.

Northamptonshire isn't far from Yorkshire - well it's not when you're
    riding a Pan.
    It's not mine btw

I keep being tempted, I'll have to try one one day.

I get the feeling I'd only do it if I still had the VFR in the garage,
though. There's times when a Pan would feel a bit OTT.

A mate of mine kept a Blade for real fun and a Pan for touring.

I'm sure our paths will cross at some point in the non too distant
future so I can take you up on that offer.
There's one slight flaw in that plan...... I doubt anyone would have a
    VFR for 'real fun'.

Pah, I don't see why not. I keep my Pan because it's fun.

Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Stritchy
You've got it. The bike didn't end up in the ditch, did it? It's working
    perfectly then.
